Title: Golf Ball Display
Creation Date: November 2009
Description: Everytime I golf at a new course I make sure to get a golf ball with the logo of the course on it. My collection has been growing and I wanted a way to display the collection. Most of the traditional golf ball display cases are country-like and didn’t fit the modern feel of my space, so I created my own display case. I modeled the display case using google sketch-up before beginning to build. Once the design was complete I constructed the case using wood and steel. Title: BattleMarket

Description: Back in college, I had the idea to create a marketplace for gamers to compete for cash online in their favorite games on the Xbox, PS3, and Wii. The idea is like online poker, but instead of playing poker for cash, you’re playing Madden, Halo, etc. I couldn’t figure out how to validate the results of games and wasn’t sure about the legality, so never pursued the project. 5 years later there are now 2 websites that offer the ability to compete for cash, but I thought they did a bad job at making the matchmaking process as simple as possible, so I decided to put together a prototype in photoshop and run the numbers on profitability. I also found out that competing for cash is legal on games of skill in 35 of the U.S. states, unlike poker which is a game of chance and illegal. I’ve been in search of a programmer to work with me on the project but haven’t had any luck. If you’re interested in pursing the project, shoot me an e-mail. Title: Albeez.com Mortgage Calculator

Description: I have been try to figure out if I want to buy a home, what I can afford, and what type of mortgage that would be best for me. I figured I’d share the spreadsheet that I’ve created to help assess my options. It’s not flawless but gives you a good idea of the ballpark numbers. You’ll need to unzip the file and the excel is viewed best on Windows Vista.
Title: Greenfield Business Association
Creation Date: May 2006
Description: The result of an “e-commerce” course that I took while in college. The site was built for a local business, “The Greenfield Business Association”, which is based out of Greenfield, Massachusetts. Based on their specs the site was put together from the ground-up using adobe fireworks and adobe dreamweaver.
Title: Campus Cleaners
Creation Date: August 2004
Description: Junior year in college, based on the landfills that my friends called their apartments, I thought it would be a good idea to start a cleaning company. I had a few college girls on board to clean for me if I started the company up. I had a pretty decent business model but didn’t have the capital to start it, and was obviously too lazy to try and raise the 500 or so bucks it would have cost to start it. I did however throw together this website.
